today. All eyes are on qatar for the fifa 2022 world cup draw.

So I thought I'd share a few photos from a recent shoot at the Tivoli Souq Al Wakra Hotel, which will be the hotel base for the England team throughout the tournament, hopefully all the way to December 18th (starts humming Three Lions...)

The shoot is part of a wider project I'm working on showing the unexpected side of Qatar, so not the usual hotel shoot.

Souk Al Wakra is located roughly 30km south of Doha & is a wonderful maze of market stalls, shops, cafes, restaurants & a brilliant Cultural Centre. The hotel is split in 2 parts at the north & south of the souk & my favourite bit is the golf buggy shuttle between the north & south.

Built within the old fisherman & pearl divers homes it has a really authentic atmosphere, just like the souk it has a maze of alleyways & nooks to explore (or get lost in as I regularly do at the souk) but as it's a 5 star hotel the alleyways & courtyards have amazing rooms & restaurants & spas at the end of them. Room 222 is the only room with a sea view, it is reached by heading though a secluded courtyard & over what feels like the souk walls, totally worth the effort to find the room the view of the spectacular sunrise.

I have dropped some links below with more info about Al Wakra, how to get round when you visit to see England win the World Cup & how to license images or commission your own shoot.

But we all know that the best part of any blog is the pictures, so go check out the gallery below.

Enjoy!
