48 hours in muscat.

Admittedly most of them on a commission for a client I can't share any images from, but I did get to wing it down to Mutrah at the end of day 1 just in time to catch the sunset from the fort.

I wasn't really sure what to expect but it didn't disappoint. Coming from the relentlessly new & sterile Qatar it was refreshing to look out over the old port town of Mutrah & wander round it's bustling souk & shabby alleyways.

I love these moments on trips when a last min '"Right! Let's go there" pays off.

And if anyone can tell me why there is a blue ear on the wall of the fort. I'm listening...

Enjoy!

"I’m a big believer in winging it. I’m a big believer that you’re never going to find perfect city travel experience or the perfect meal without a constant willingness to experience a bad one. Letting the happy accident happen is what a lot of vacation itineraries miss, I think, and I’m always trying to push people to allow those things to happen rather than stick to some rigid itinerary."
